Technician & Technician Trainee Registration

In order to perform technician duties in a pharmacy, individuals must have an ACTIVE Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician Registration issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).

To obtain a Technician Registration, choose the appropriate application below:

Initial Technician Trainee Application (not yet Certified by PTCB)

Initial Registered Pharmacy Technician Application
Must be Certified with Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Do not complete this application until you have your PTCB certificate in hand.

Upgrade Technician Trainee to Registered Technician
Must be Certified with Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Do not complete this application until you have your PTCB certificate in hand.

RELICENSURE (EXPIRED Technician Registration) Technicians with an EXPIRED Registration may request a “relicensure packet” by clicking this link. It will generate an email for you to complete and send. Include a current mailing address, your full name, and the expired registration number. Technician Trainees may not renew and are not eligible for relicensure.

Before requesting a relicensure packet, verify that your licensed is EXPIRED. If you are Delinquent, not Expired, you may Renew Your license.
