Heisha Freeman, CRP, GMS-T, is the Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at MoveCenter, a global employee relocation management company. In her multidisciplinary role, she sets the strategic direction and organizational alignment towards those goals. Coming full circle with accountability for decisions, her direct responsibilities overlap most areas of the company, including sales, marketing, operations, human resources, legal, supply chain, and accounting. Her leadership has led the company to receive multiple awards for business ethics, being named the Best Relocation Management Company (RMC) in both the USA and the UK, and being recognized as a Top 10 Employer in the USA. Heisha is a dual recipient of the Outstanding Women in Business Award.
Heisha graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Austin College in Sherman, TX, and later earned her Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology. She has also completed advanced coursework at Princeton, Yale, and Stanford. Her professional memberships include the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council and North Texas Relocation Professionals.
In 2021, Heisha was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve as a council member on the Texas State Independent Living Council, with her term running until 2024. Her roles on the SILC have included Board Secretary, Chair of the State Members Recruitment and Development Committee, member of the Project Committee, Advocacy Committee, State Plan for Independent Living Committee, Policy & Procedure Committee, Transitional Committee, and the Executive Committee.
Heisha is an author, public speaker, and philanthropist who has been actively involved in various community organizations throughout her career. An animal lover, she volunteers for Paws in the City and Feral Friends on weekends. Her extensive board experience includes positions at Agape Resource and Assistance Center, The Arc of Texas DFW Area, National Exchange Club, and I Belong.
As a proud mother of an adult son with moderately severe autism, Heisha is a passionate advocate for the disability community. She founded Help Stop Cruelty to Animals, Autistic Social Meetups in DFW, Austin & Friends Social Circle, and Special Needs Parents of North Texas, an online resource group for parents with disabled children. Additionally, she volunteers as Head Bocce Coach for the Special Olympics, proudly leading her team, which includes her adult son, Austin, to the Texas State Games, where several of her athletes have won gold medals.
A native Texan, Heisha enjoys traveling, playing board games, and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband, Anthony, recently celebrated 24 wonderful years together.
