  • You will not be able to submit applications, renew licenses, or make payments during this time.

Relicensure — Pharmacists

A pharmacist who has a license that has been expired for one year or more may not renew and must reapply for licensure in Texas. A license may be issued if the individual is able to meet the requirements for relicensure.

Requirements for Relicensure

For pharmacists with an EXPIRED Texas license but who are actively practicing pharmacy in another state, see the requirements outlined in Texas Pharmacy Rule §283.10 (f).

For pharmacists with an EXPIRED Texas License and who have NOT been practicing pharmacy in another state, see the requirements outlined in Texas Pharmacy Rule §283.10 (g).

Before submitting the relicensure application packet, it is best to contact the Pharmacist Relicensure Specialist to discuss the requirements of the Relicensure process based on the applicant's specific circumstances.
