Technician Programs for Class C or C-S Hospitals

In accordance with Texas Pharmacy Rules, Class C or C-S Hospitals may apply for a Tech-Check-Tech Program or a Rural Hospital. If approved, the application must be updated biennially in conjunction with the application for renewal of the pharmacy’s license.

Tech-Check-Tech Application

Application to allow Pharmacy Technicians to verify the accuracy of another pharmacy technician relating to the filling of floor stock and unit dose distribution systems for a patient admitted to the hospital if the patient’s orders have previously been reviewed and approved by a pharmacist.

Rural Hospital Application

Application to allow Pharmacy Technicians to perform certain duties when a Pharmacist is not on duty in a Rural Hospital.
